Nursery

The Hopewell nursery offers loving care for infants and toddlers (birth-4yrs old). Parents can drop off little ones in a safe, secure environment and attend worship service with peace of mind. Our church nursery provides a loving and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers where they can play and learn basic Christian values.

Location and Availability:

The nursery is located just behind the sanctuary. Nursery care is provided during Sunday School and Sunday and Wednesday worship services. Children will be assigned rooms based on their age.

Sign-in Procedure:

A sign-in sheet is provided on the counter outside the nursery area. Please complete the sheet fully each time you bring your child to the nursery. This information is vital in case we need to reach you. We are blessed to be able to provide pagers for parents so that we can contact you, if needed, while your child is in our care.

Please inform the nursery workers of the following:

Please bring your child to the assigned room. You will be given a pager to carry with you while at church. The nursery staff will notify you if they need you for any reason.

Illness:

We take pride in our nursery and require our program to be a well-baby facility. If your child has any of the following symptoms, we ask that you keep them at home:

Children should be free of the above symptoms for 24 hours before being placed in the nursery.

Pre-K/K:

At Hopewell, Pre-K and K children’s church class provides a fun and engaging space for young children to learn basic Bible stories, simple Christian concepts like God’s love, through interactive activities like songs, crafts, playtime, and age-appropriate stories, all designed to introduce them to the idea of faith in a way that is developmentally suitable and fosters a sense of community within the church.

Pre-K and Kindergarten classes are located in the nursery section behind the sanctuary. After Sunday School, they are brought out to the sanctuary for the music part of worship. This is to start transitioning them as they get older. We have also found that a lot of them enjoy the music. They will sit in the first two rows with their teacher and then depart after the offering is taken.
